Hospital honored for employee satisfaction

Human Resources Executive Director Christa Ebbert and CEO Steve Handy

A good hospital is a vital member of a community – one that fosters relationships for the health of a region and one that is committed to positively affecting the lives of those it employs.

Uniontown Hospital was recently honored by HealthStream Inc., a workforce development and management firm, for the hospital’s “commitment to excellence in employee satisfaction.”

The “Excellence Through Insight Award” was presented to CEO Steven Handy and Human Resources Executive Director Christa Ebbert after the facility scored in the highest quartile in employee satisfaction and was among the leaders in employee satisfaction scores across the nation.

HealthStream officials said that the hospital “exceeded industry standards” in overall employee satisfaction.

“We applaud Uniontown Hospital’s high-level commitment to excellence in health care and are pleased to recognize their achievement,” HealthStream CEO Robert A. Frist Jr. said.

Ebbert said the award is a testament to the vision of hospital leaders, the dedication of the hospital’s Service Excellence team and the exceptional employees that make up the Uniontown Hospital family.

“We are committed as an organization to making a healthy difference in every life that we touch and that commitment extends to our hospital staff. They are the reason we can make that difference,” Ebbert said. “We are thrilled that so many members of our team have recognized the importance of our work and our dedication to doing what is best for our patients and our employees.”

HealthStream is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through the development of health care organizations greatest assets: their people. HealthStream works with more than 4 million hospital employees nationwide and has offices in six states.
